Here are the highlights of this episode:
2:55 Manuj’s ideal Client: Mostly we work with ambitious people. People who have already had some success or even if they're at the beginning of their journey, but they realize that especially talking about this pandemic situation, they realize things are changing in order to get through this tough time. You really need support and guidance of some really deep, meaningful relationships with people who have faced these kinds of challenges before.
3:57 Problem Manuj helps solve: We allow people to have more conversations with the right person, develop deep relationships, because every transaction that happens, every business transaction or even in our personal lives starts with a conversation. So, having that coherent conversation, getting to know the person building that relationship leads to any other thing that we want in life. Whether we are looking for funding, whether we were looking for a new client, or whether we are looking at it.
4:40 Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Manuj: Because I'm an introvert, I know it's so hard to muster up that courage and go to somebody and just say hello. And even if you can do that, what comes next? Introverts have a tough time carrying on a conversation. And if you cannot do that, even if you have the best of intentions, you cannot form a bond with the person. So, once again, you know, we help people to get over these anxieties, shortcomings and build a meaningful relationship.
5:37 What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Manuj and his solution: The biggest mistake is focusing on ourselves. Especially entrepreneurs, we are trying to look at what things about what to talk about. We started babbling about that I've done this, I've done that, it's all about us. But if you put the focus on the other person and we say, hey tell me a little bit about you, and get curious about their journey, their family, their experiences, then the conversations will flow very smoothly. And you don't have to think a lot about what to say because the other person is doing most of the talking.
6:37 Manuj’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): Whether you are in a business or you're in a profession, building a high-value network is the best investment you can make right now. So, my advice to you will be to go on LinkedIn, connect with at least 10, 20 people of the right persona that you are trying to work with, and want to develop a relationship with. And I have conversations with them. Send them a message and generally ask them, how are you doing? If anything I can do to support you. And that's the first conversation you can have to form a relationship. And then make 10 or 20 conversations every day.
7:55 Manuj’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): So I had tremendous success in investing in relationships. I wrote a fairly long case study. If you have 20-25 minutes to go through it and you can reach it by going to the website: www.innerget.com
8:45 What will be the currency of the future? The currency of the future is going to be online credibility and your personal brand. I believe we are going to see this social distancing for a while, even if the economy opens up. Because, we are emotional beings and we are going to associate going outside with disease and what’s not. So security is our main objective as humans. So, if you are looking to get ahead, start investing in building an online brand.
"So online credibility and personal branding will be the key, so if you are looking to get ahead, start investing in building an online brand" – Manuj Aggarwal
