Here are the highlights of this episode:
2:09 Mark’s ideal Client: Somebody that can think; usually my books are predominantly sold to women (87%) and I think women are the visionary leaders of the future; leaders that can lead because they are more likely trained as comprehensivist. I think they are the most comprehensive, thoughtful, great leaders, great thinkers, analyzers, and they get their multi-tasking par excellence.
2:43 Problem Mark’s helps solve: I've been in 80 countries with my wife and we discovered great people that are professional, educated, smart, but the difference in those who succeed little and those who are vastly successful in fulfilling their destiny have one thing only - they have the power to ASK. They are what we call 'Master Asker'. So, we created it for free: askthebookclub.com, and once a month, Crystal and I talk to everybody.
3:45 Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Mark: Because our book is sort of brand new called 'Ask! The Bridge from Your Dreams to Your Destiny' we got 121 letters and generally we wouldn't have taken time to read them. But we started to read them and they said "look, I've been in the pits, I've been despondent, disconsolate, depressed. I was going to commit suicide" Someone else said you're doing this thing and you're telling me Socrates said 'the unexamined life isn't worth living'. I need to discover who I am, who my friends are, who I am in God's beingness and territory.
So, we teach 400x that before you go to bed, you ought to ask yourself "God, what is your destiny for me?" and that illumination will come prior in the middle of the night. We tell you to pre-alert your spouse or sweetheart. That notepad that you're going to wake him up probably and write "Holy cow, I know what to do next" because so many people are having to pivot, reinvent and reorient themselves. Because somewhere around 30 to 50 percent of people are going to be unemployed or underemployed after the Covid.
5:12 What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Mark and his solution: We say there are 7 self-sabotaging detours in asking, and the first one is a sense of unworthiness. The next one is a sense of fear, false evidence appearing as real. The third is disconnection, where you just go "wait, I can't do anything about it" and for that one we're saying "look, don't watch more than 15 minutes of news a day because it'll permeate, penetrate and fill the inner space of your being and besmirched you”. The next one is 'excuseologist' which every one of us knows. Something that I do Bill. And all that stuff.
So, it is those seven things that deter us from our own good. Whereas if we figure out what we want, we put it in writing and we say "this is what I'm good at". And ask 10 of your friends to write down what is your talent, skill, ability.. what is your super genius? What is your superpower? Then look at that and say "what would I love to do?". And then "what can I make in the triangle of success? What can I make that would pay me substantially?" Because you don't get paid a little if you get paid a lot.
6:24 Mark’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): They really need to go into the depth of their beingness and say "what do I really want in my heart, soul and mind?” And what is the experience when I get done where I can say “I have no regrets, I pulled it all off".
6:52 Mark’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Thank you, there's two of them. Number one askthebookclub.com and they get to talk live to Crystal in a Zoom cast which we think will be the biggest virtual club. And then the second thing is going to my website, Mark Victor Hansen.com. We've got a couple of free resources. One, I just finished with a woman I think you're interviewing soon, Mitzi Perdue -the 22 million chickens all she does in a week. And we wrote 'How to be up in down times' because we think so many people are having their spirits crushed and pulverized and beat up and with four different problems, one of which is pulverizing negative media.
7:45 How do I get to my destiny? And the question is, every one of us got to ask ourselves and figure it out and keep saying "what's my destiny, God, what's my destiny?" if you're spiritual. If you're not spiritual, "what's my destiny, what's my destiny?" and then write it out. And the minute you write it out, you're on your manifestation path. You will catch up to it. Guaranteed ultimately, inevitably.
