Here are the highlights of this episode:
Paul mentions to us that his ideal clients are small business owners who wants to establish themselves better online; they either want to do more online, want to get started online, or do the next level online. Sometimes we immediately blame the social media platform, like saying the Facebook ads didn't work and you just wasted money. He says it's not the traffic that's usually the problem, it might the website that doesn't give clear calls to action. Him and his team helps these people who started to feel frustrated or being stuck and don't know how to really maximize the result they can get from Facebook or any of their opt-in pages. He says there are certain things that you need to be 'in' on and do it for yourself and one of them would be marketing; at least learn it before you outsource it. The project he's currently excited about is a company and the foundation that they created called FUNancial freedom; putting the fun in finances. Their mission is to empower children and teens on financial literacy from an early age.
Chris’ Valuable Free Action (VFA):
Paul is applying the importance of 'think time'; he advises to put into your calendar an hour a week where you sit down and start asking a question like "who is my ideal client & what is the gap between them working with me right now?" and keep asking that question until you realize it's not a leads issue, service issue, and it's generally not what you think it is. You need to ask yourself better questions if you want to come up with better answers.
“When you rethink business, the only one word that's common to 'rethink' and 'business' is the word IN. You need to be IN your business on these core elements, and one of those is marketing" – Paul O' Mahony
